Stu47, CF, Charlie H, Calling any or all fishers in SW Norway. Just got an update from Stu47 on Bjerkreim, and it occurred to me that we should be gathering data on the many rivers in SW Norway to share with our members of (Salmon Fishers). This is because it is very accessible place to fish given that you can fly from London, Aberdeen or Newcastle to Stavanger in about 1 hour odd and be fishing some of those rivers within 3 - 4 hours drive. It is a perfect location for a long weekend given that the Norwegians allow fishing on a Sunday. If anyone has any links we would be grateful to here. salmo

Not sure if the Lyngdal still has salmon. salmo

Stu47, Cheyenne and others,
I just noticed today that Rypesekken & Fiskevesken on Bakkegate in Stavanger is closing down. The manager is starting work offshore and the owner is liquidating everything he can in a week before moving the stock back to his othe stores in Oslo.
All stock is going for 50% including all Loop rods and reels and some great loop shooting heads. Still a fair bit of flytying materials left as well.

I was in the shop last saturday but I was short of time and asked the guy if he would be open next week. He said yes but I went back yesterday and found it had closed for good. Some of the items were 70% off On the bright side. Intersport Hidle has a sale on Loop gear including rods at 50% off. CF

Tweedcast,
Intersport Hidle is in Stavanger. I am not sure if I made that clear.
if you are in the area it is opposite Magasin Blaa.
