Not strictly accommodation, but the Courtyard Restaurant in Thornhill is an absolute hidden gem, and deserves special mention for fishers who might be staying over in Thornhill area whilst on the Nith. Not a large place, but extremely stylish yet down to earth at the same time. The food and surroundings are sublime, and extremely good value for money. The service was impeccable, and the staff friendly but not 'in your face'. My partner and I had a three course meal (you bring your own bottle) and I think we paid £30 for the two of us. It was incredibly good value for money - all home made and delicious - fish soup, venison, halibut with a large selection of perfectly cooked vegetables.
I think they do B&B, but not entirely sure.

Stayed over the in the Thornhill Inn. Decent rooms, good food and real friendly staff.
A couple of square sausage rolls and a touch of broon from the Bakers across the road at 7pm just what you need after a few pints.
40 sheets for the night, can't complain.
Would definitely stay again when back in the area.
