With the 2007 season now over for the majority of us thoughts must be turning to booking up for next year.
What are peoples plan's for 2008? Will you be sticking with the same bookings as this/previous years or are you heading off to pastures new?

The plan is to fish the Spey in early March. It will be my first Spey outing- can't wait.
Willie Gunn has promised me fish! Lots of them!

Is that Delfur or Rothes? I assume it was taken late May, early June. He's taking a pee behind the second palm tree from the left.

Stuart, Ardlethen on the Ythan is well worth a cast late September/October next season.

Will fish the Tweed a bit more. Looking forward to Whiteadder - never fished it. I'd like to fish Commonty on the Dee - a challenge.
Savilles have just mucked up a repeat week end of July by letting it to a n other. Brilliant thats what letting agents are for righty. So am available for invitations ??
Otherwise same plans.

I want to fish more beats on the Dee and Don next year. I also want to give the Ythan a go and the Esks if I get the chance.

Will be fishing the Dee in march. Will be sticking with my season ticket on the Ythan. Testing the Spey (Also in summer for some sea trout ) Will fish the Don as often as possible, Should manage to get on to the Deveron as well and will possibly try the Tweed. Some of the above will be work dependent.

Try out some new beats on the Severn system, plus some sorties to the Wye and Cumbrian Eden for a springer when the Severn is out of sorts.
From June a few trips to the Welsh Dee, plus the Lune and Ribble. Oh and hopefully a trip to the Tweed with a friend.
With sewin in mind, must fish theTeifi some more, and early doors on the Towy, plus a few late july/early august nights on the Mawddach and Wnion.
But if the good grilse run this year heralds a good spring next year and the water is right I'm going to find it hard to keep off the river at the bottom of the hill.

Just about got my diary sorted out for the coming season.
14th - 19th April - Carron, Spey. 26th - 31st May - Grantown, Spey. 30th July - 2nd Aug - Fochabers AA, Spey. 28th Aug - 30th Aug - Wester Elchies, Spey.
Hope the Spey has a good season!!!
Now just need to find somewhere to fill in the 28th & 29th July. Anyone got any ideas? Have been thinking about Forres AA on the Findhorn or possibly the Ness??
Will also be taking the Northumbrian Anglers Fed permit for the Tyne & Coquet.

Was hoping for a couple of days on the Dee in May, to tag onto my Tummel trip with lamson, but no decent beats have come up. Just booked some spring days on Tweed, so current plan is:
Upper Floors + another beat 25/26 Feb
Dryburgh/Ravenswood/Middle Pavilion 21-23 April
Tummel, East Haugh, 12 -14 May
Conwy/Dee for sea trout & salmon June - Oct
Oct/Nov - some backend days on the Annan.
Might try a day or 2 on the Eden as well.
