"Salmon Fishing on River & Stream" Hardback published in 1995. Contains 176 pages and includes black and white and some colour plates. I enjoyed this book. A how- to book that covers a lot of areas. I would recommend this book to beginners and even ,more experienced anglers may find it interesting.

I endorse your recommendation of "Salmon Fishing on River & Stream" I found the authors style to be refreshingly straightforward. Dave. I've also got both of these books. I found the second one gave some useful explanations about selection of fly size. I thought Progressive Fly Fishing for Salmon was a good book for someone looking to get beyond the basics, criticism would be that it wasn't comprehensive enough because I think there are plenty of these sort of books. Felt empathy with Mr Keachie when saw his remarks about trebles, and liked his Keachie shrimps (for a few seasons!). After I saw this book, I saw his first book called... on River and Stream. Couldn't help but wonder if he wished he'd just wrote the Progressive Fly Fishing book and left out the first beginners book.
