Faithfully since 1979 and surely one day I'll win the crossword............ Life just wouldn't be the same without it. Direct debit seems to be the way ahead but remember to cancel and re-subscribe at the end of every year; it's amazing how many free gifts you can wangle......

Faithfully since 1979 and surely one day I'll win the crossword............ Life just wouldn't be the same without it. Direct debit seems to be the way ahead but remember to cancel and re-subscribe at the end of every year; it's amazing how many free gifts you can wangle...... I get the direct debit and have the mag sent to scotland and it then gets redirected to wherever I happen to be working so I am a day late and a dollar short when people start discussing the latest TS article. I consider myself a very blinkered salmon fisher and I feel the whole mag is clogged up with too many trout stories. Don't get me wrong, I am full of admiration for trout fishers but I just hate having to read their stories. Sea trout I am OK with but brown trout just seem far to complicated. Besides they have too many flies and I can only just manage to tie salmon flies. I actually enjoy Crawford Little's Salmon-Fishers' Surgery. Good practical advice. salmo

Where's the read it in the newsagents box? They now cover it in plastic, so unless you're just checking for your photo on the front page Malcolm, you canna see too much. Or do you bring scissors and a heat shrink/re-sealing gun............... ;D

My old man reads the Cassley report in WH Smiths every month, or he used to!
