Nice report Stuart, and it's funny how you sometimes catch fish when you're not expecting to. Sounds like the big fish gave you a good scrap.

Well, a 4th entry never materialsied so its between 3 punters. The tension has been mounting since the start of 'True CSI' (CH5) - not so much a 'fever' more of a 'head cold' pitch. 1st to submit was DJB - an accomplished post covering most of the set criteria. Excellent photographic references and social commentary on rural living within the Dunkeld area. 2nd up was heilanfisher with his Loch Brora day oot - the judging panel surmised that, even to a blind man, this was coming from the pen of a man both possessed and hell bent on going the extra rod's length. Last to enter the fray was Stuart with his Tilbouries post - bonniest fish of the three. Good descriptive style with ample reference to wildlife and the surrounding area. Having been locked in discussions for the past 5 minutes the judging panel have finally agreed a winner. I am being passed a piece of paper as we speak ..... ...... and the winner is .............. Heilanman !! Congratulations HF - a truly excellent piece of craftsmanship showing a breadth of knowledge and clear commitment to the task in hand - the fotie 'o the outboard was a masterstroke ! Commiserations to DJB and Stuart - maybe next time and sincere thanks once more for taking the time and trouble to put your reports together - appreciated by many I'm sure. HF - I shall PM you ramorra with a series prize options for your consideration and choice. Best regards to all. STip

Our pleasure entirely HF - its cos your worth it. Come come, a week's saltwater fishing (for two) in the Seychelles is a small price to pay for a post of such forethought and quality. However, discount the Kola trip at your peril ! - ah ken its cauld As discussed via PM, the Patagonian sea trout sortie could be good but we would need to be guaranteed water for that. Play it safe - just go for the selection of personalised '74 day-glo bubble float's - canny go wrang wi them !! Best regards The Admin Team (in association with STipfish Travel) ps - are the rest 'o yis no sorry ye didnae get involved now ? .... well' y'ell ken better next time ;D
