The first time anybody goes salmon fishing, they remember it for life. You get addicted to the thrill of fighting a 25 pound fish. And because of this thrill and fun you keep going back. You also keep telling people about your stories, memories, and even try to get your friends and/or family to come and enjoy it as well. So why not try and help underprivileged kids that would never have a chance of experiencing something so amazing. We are trying to raise money to build a place where we can organize with groups that help underprivileged kids to come stay and experience the fun of salmon fishing. Give them memories that will be with them for life. You can donate at www.gofundme.com/6bipg4Or follow us on twitter(@srproject2014) and facebook(https://www.facebook.com/salmonriverproject). And help spread this cause.

Hi to everyone. I am Alex and have fished for salmon for a few years now on the River Derwent in Cumbria, I also fish on the Nith and Annan taking odd days on them. I have just come across this forum, tight lines to everyone for the 2014 season

Hi torrish, where do you fish on the Derwent. I used to fish Woodall, but now take days on the Castle beats. Welcome to the forum.

Hi torrish, where do you fish on the Derwent. I used to fish Woodall, but now take days on the Castle beats. Welcome to the forum. I get days on some of the Private beats on the Derwent. I know Woodall well, used to fish the opposite bank. Risefoot is my favourite beat on the Castle Fisheries, Codfitz does well also
