How's it looking up there?
Are those corries getting nicely packed to give us plenty of water during the spring?

How about above 600m? I see the ski slopes on the Cairngorms are reporting the best conditions 'for years' this morning

Andrew, There is plenty snow on the high ground at the moment, although it looks like a thaw is on its way later this week. Hopefully the recent frosts will have helped to compact it a little so that it does not shift all at once.

Saw that too, sounds 'f**k**g hardcore' as Mike Strutter would say! There seems to be a good base building up. I dream of snow melt rises in early May on the Dee - here's hoping

Just back in from a walk up the river with Duffer. Temp 2 c rain with flurries of big wet snow flakes. The river is rising and all the little burns are running high and dirty. It is a tad windy as well with a few branches down.

No, first serious outing is late March
Just can't see the snow holding for any great length of time these days, bound to be another mild and wet spell round the corner to melt it
