Lets all hope that the levels & water condition stays in perfect shape for the next couple of weeks for all those due to fish, and if the water warms just a tad, then there will be pulls on the swung flees, as the fish that are there already will be joined by a few more even fresher fish straight from the sea!
My best wishes go with all who will have the pleasure of casting a few flies over the pools.

Scotty,
I think I'm fishing at Craigendinnie on friday now but could nip up to see you at lunch-time if that's okay. Hopefully the weather will hold until then.

In March 2006 Scotland had a lot of snow. Looking at todays picture there is clearly a good dump on the Cairngorm. ski.visitscotland.com/conditions/cairngorm/Q. How do you think this compares to how much was there this time in 2006?

From a North of Scotland viewpoint, I would say that there is less snow than what there was in 2006. However the snow here just now is 3 weeks later than when it was in 2006.

Thought it would be a bit less, but it certainly is more than last year when it was virtually all gone by this time!

Thought it would be a bit less, but it certainly is more than last year when it was virtually all gone by this time! Here's a photo showing the amount of snow we had in March 2006, and you're right about last year... a poor year for igloo's.

Go and build an igloo perhaps? ;D highlandfisher (one of the boys isn't happy ... cause she's a girl I mean, who else would think of a scented candle in an igloo!

Dont worry aboot the Snaw
Just pack your skis for your impending Speyside visit more Snaw to follow,,the water levels will be perfect,Springers will be plentiful and when you get fed up catching them just jump into "Eddie the Eagles Blue Banger" and head up to Cairngorm,as tells me hes very good "Hawf Pised" ;D

Well we're still getting below freezing nights .... but the day time temps are now pushing 70 degrees Fer during the day. (+21 C +/-)
That's a temperature swing of about 40 degrees from 5AM to 5 PM during the day.
