That is a real pity Donfish you will just need to do some bankside pruning instead Cheers H

I think this may become a busy thread over the next few weeks Donfush. According to the forecasts I am looking at, a milder spell of mixed bag weather is due for the next fortnight or so. Lets just hope the snow melt and rain come down in controlled doses and not deluges of biblical proportions.

Raining heavily here on Tayside - the local burn is rising. Looks like we are about to lose some of the recent snow - how much remains to be seen.

Supposed to be on the Spey today, not happening as i have been told the river has risen to over 5ft so far Also think it will be a waste of time most places as everywhere else seems to be on the up!!!

It looked like a fair amount of snaw had melted from the Angus Hills this morning.
So there will be a good flush happening on most rivers.

The Deveron is probably approaching 8 feet now.

South Esk at 1ft 5" and still creeping up the guage at 9am, a fair shift of snow over the last 48hrs, hopefully some will persist on the higher hills to maintain a daily melt as the season gets going.

The Deveron is probably approaching 8 feet now. It's now some 12 to 15 feet.

That is a fair rise Richard, hopefully it will not rise anymore and cause some serious damage.

Nice photos Malcolm, it's certainly been a quick thaw. You'd better get your Blair spoons out for the next few days.

still far more snow Speyside than at the Dee.Just got back travelling though Glenlivet and the snow has melted far more rapidly even at the lecht ski centre than at the Spey. Having said that...the Spey very high.

That is a fair rise Richard, hopefully it will not rise anymore and cause some serious damage. It has dropped back a bit this morning. I suspect there will have been some bank damage in those areas already in poor condition. Maybe the shingle bank formed a year ago at Burn Moo' has been washed away: time will tell.

Great pictures Malcolm. The river Isla was huge at teatime yesterday and had risen considerably over the course of the day.

WG.. great photos there and you can see the water creeping ever closer to the fishing hut. Wouldn't be surprised if it went even higher.

Some cracking pics Stuart.
The North & South Esk were still running high and coco when i went over them today.
The weather was pretty mild today with a touch of rain so the levels will probably be maintained over the next few days.
Cheers

Pity you have not been able to get a cast Stuart. Excellent pics, they don't half show the contrast from one week to the next. Hopefully condition's will improve for you next week.
Bill.
