Don't know if anyone has seen these yet - picked up the bumf in Farlows today - hideous looking things and 11/13/15 quid each depending on the weight!!
I suggest you look at the links below before reading on:-
rb-bait.ru/ru/
www.osnas.ru
(couldn't find an English bit on the site)
The marketing says this:-
"Devons - Special spinning baits - Devon with double sided rotation - "Strekosa"
It was created by studing (i presume they mean studying) the influence of the microturbines on the reflex reactions of the predatory fish. Its a result of numerous tests. There are 2 turbines mounted in the devons base. These turbines rotate in pposite directions, they why the fishing line doesnt turn over, when devon moves at great speed against the stream. These perspective spoon-baits enable great numbers of predaotry fish to be caught"
"The secret of DEVONS success is not only in the use of outstanding patentde concept of the rotation of baits propeller but also in the application of high technology manufacture and multistage quality control of production. The DEVONS propeller rotates about the axis and creates bright patches of light and high-frequency hydroacoustics attracting fish and inducing them to strike the bait. Ease of rotation of the propeller is achieved by use of the microbearing (made of stainless steel) constructed of a high level tolerance that creates an opportunity to fish with the bait at the slowest speed and at different depths."
There are 5 colours - silver, matte silver, brass, copper, blackening (whatever that is). Available in 36g, 30g, 21g 14g, 8g in the unilateral turbine rotation style (left or right) and 29g, 21g and 16g in the double sided rotation style!
At least we know what all the ex Russion nuclear submarine designers and scientists have been doing since the end of the cold-war....!!! ;D ;D ;D
At the prices clearly designed to catch anglers but with a technical description like that it has to be worth giving one a shot for a laugh (tied with the heaviest nylon you can find so you dont loose it)!!!
Whose first to try one ;D ;D ;D
