Hello members I am going to attend a charity auction to be held by either The Round Table or The Rotarians, on Friday 7th March at Berwick Rugby Club. The event is in aid of cancer charities and shall all be worthy causes. I have already donated a salmon angling prize but would also propose to put up a box of salmon flies. Would say ten members like to donate two of their own tied flies each, any tackle dealers out there like to put up a fly box. I would ensure that the prize is marked as having been donated by members of this forum.

I have been asked by the organisers of the above Charity Auction to thank all members who kindly took the trouble to donate salmon flies and fly boxes. The total raised is going to be around £14,000 with I think a day on The Junction Pool in late August making the best money at £420. Fly boxes made the following:- A selection of flies in box £35 A selection in box £10 A leather walletm with 25 flies £35 My own day on BAA Water with self as ghillie went for £60 All money raised is for cancer charities and again thanks to all those who donated.

PS yours trulys was the first ticket out in the raffle--- a bottle of 10 year old Aberlour single malt. Tis a hard life indeed.
