The rod was jammed under my left arm as I tried to take a picture with my phone. A second after the picture was taken there was a wave up to my knees. The fish was fine when it went back. It grabbed a lump of mackerel meant for turbot. Where the trout are feeding, in large breaking waves in shallow water, they must be getting battered about into the sand. I suspect they are quite able to survive sitting on a beach for a few seconds.

Haha. Fine and handy if I need a surfboard. Might be ok for muudy puddle fishermen but useless for angry sea trout that will not stay still.............I suppose they might stay on a mat if they get a smack on the back of the head!

Great looking fish Buster It had better make a short stop at Rigmaden. On Saturday the bloody river was almost dry. You retired types can obviously pick and choose. Us working types are obviously financing your lifestyle.
