With a growing Internet market , including e-bay, many traditional tackle shops are going under or at least feeling the pressure. I also see a trend where predominantly Coarse Fishing tackle shops have the same small section of game tackle, normally Greys, Shakespeare, " Ron Thompson", Daiwa, and little else. I have previously admitted to being a tackle-tart as well as being addicted to retail therapy, my idea of heaven (apart from being on a river bank) is to spend an hour and a few quid in a game fishing based shop like Norris, Fawcetts, Borders Gun Room, and even G.A.C. Where is your favourite specialist shop and why?

After a few trips to the Tweed recently i thought the tackle shops in Kelso were amongst the best I have visited.
The Orvis shop and Twedside tackle were both excellent.
