Unlucky again for tweedcast, keirstream and dunkeld. Only number 5 to go. River 5 has 60 odd pools on its 12 mile stretch. 1... Findhorn (Bill) 2... Alness (glenclova) 3... Halladale (Graham) 4... Foyers (Graham) 5... 6... Exerod (Bill)

I think Bill just edges it by getting that last one. Picture was taken, after a trip to the Spey, where the road runs alongside the river just outside Dulnain Bridge. Thanks to all who had a go at them. (if the Muckle Burn has 60 pools I'm heading there next summer ) 1... Findhorn (Bill) 2... Alness (glenclova) 3... Halladale (Graham) 4... Foyers (Graham) 5... Dulnain (Bill) 6... Exerod (Bill)

It's a fair length for a burn so I'm guessing there's no reason why salmon wouldn't enter it. (surprised me that a burn could be that long.) Maybe one of the lads from that area could give further info? ATB

I havent fished it myself, but I believe it is mainly fished for sea trout, although it does produce a few salmon.
