This morning my fishing was so good I packed up early by a chestnut tree and collected some conkers.
I have a visitor on Sunday who will appreciate them but does anyone remember a good method of making them tough in a short space of time?
(I can remember about vinegar but don't have time for that one, and they have to dry out before putting them in the oven)

Is nothing sacred? Technique, confidence and going for the knuckles will always prevail.
This happens to me all of the time as well, it's a pain m8 innit ;D

I get up at 5am nearly every morning but without water I don't get much that is decent, plenty of kippers about, will have to be careful if there is a good frost! I lose a bit of heart when the sun comes up and there is no cloud.
Conker would be a good name for a salmon fly, I should design one but considering the time of year I think red and black will be most suitable.
