;D I see it's due to max out on Deeside at 2 degrees C early next week with snow showers. I did see Aboyne on the news this week at 23.8 degrees did I not? Incredible variations

Right now I would settle for some Snow Andrew. Come on the Rain ;D ;D Some serious snow on the hills is what it's needing, with the precipitation falling as rain lower down the glens, and giving both a rise of water relatively soon, and maintaining something in reserve to keep trickling down over the next couple of months.

It will take a fair bit of rain to make a difference to the rivers. The ground is bone dry and will soak it up.

Becareful what you wish for! 6" last night at Ballintomb, if my gutters fall off expect a solicitor's letter!

With the ground being so warm the snow won't last but it will help in the short term. Since I'm off to the Oykel and Spey soon......I'm quite happy

The snow did not last long here today although there are still sleet showers. There were Pinkfoot Geese migrating North this morning in the middle of a snow shower/NE gale!

There was a good thaw today. I see the burns around Aberlour are rising so the main river should be up a bit tomorrow.
