Over the past couple of years our Forum has raised almost £4500 for 2 very worthy charities, CHAS www.chas.org.uk/ in 2010 and Casting for Recovery castingforrecovery.org/ in 2011. A Fantastic achievement!
This year, I have been rather hesitant for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I feel that these sort of fund raising projects initially generate a fair amount of interest through the sheer loyalty of the members. They do however tend to be rather repetitive and perhaps tedious after a while, especially in such times of financial hardship. Secondly, this year, its my intention of using it as a fundraiser for a restoration project of some nature on the River Spey.
This rather contentious choice will clearly not suit everyone therefore, the 2 options are simple - either support it or not. I certainly don't have the time or inclination of getting into any form of debate on the matter but for those interested in donating Lots, I can assure you that your assistance will be most gratefully Oappreciated. You have my absolute assurance that all proceeds will be utilised directly rather than simply being added to a nondescript fund.
