Clue: it's in the North West and is a renowned wild brown trout river.

Well done adipose it is the Eamont. The bridge I was standing on was in a town called Pooley Bridge. I have seen lots of trout in that river over the years just below the bridge. I believe there was an 8.5lb taken out of there a few years ago. For those interested, Pooley bridge is off the M6 at Penrith and the Lake you see in one of the pictures is Ullswater. The town is very popular with hill walkers and the boating fraternity. Hard lines Rob, with the Eden, but you were close as it runs into the Eden.
