It gave you a decent fight Col...................so you are strapping a normal camera to your head?

Aye, the heavy breathing was a bit unnerving, reminded me of Blair Witch. ;D

You cannot beat some good old XXX rated salmon porn. Excellent footage. The heavy breathing was no more spooky than my wife's snoring every night

John , i hang my camera round my neck...it is already set on video mode. I have one of them suckers on the backside of the camera,so when i hook up i just pop the sucker(has a nib on the back of it) in my mouth and press the power and shutter...and off you go.. ;D..daft i know but it saves a few bob and the results are ok apart from the heavy breathing. My pliers got hanked on that video too...but I've sorted that out . Great fishing and a nice bit of improvisation. The picture was really steady so well impressed. All you need is a snorkel tube to take away the sound of the breathing ;D ;D ;D

Work in progress. Maybe another solution is to use Velcro and stick the camera to the top of your waders or fly foam strip.
Either way it is great to see some live fishing videos as they really capture the excitement. They are also great to help the novice angler with playing, handling and releasing technique.
Keep em coming col ;D ;D ;D

Good work Col. I thought for 7mins 32 secs that the fish was hooked in the erse. ;D Water looks in good nick. I noticed another fish showing below you. Thanks for posting - better get back to painting the bairn's bedroom.

Colin.... I'm very impressed with the video footage and especially the effortless way you get a picture of the fish at the waters edge. (your most recent video on the cortachy thread) I don't know about others but I find taking an ordinary pic at that point quite awkward whereas your method seems quite seamless and easy.
Are you still using the same method as highlighted above and can you give an idea of what size the camera is? Also, any more tips you've gleaned as you've perfected the method?
Cheers
Eric

P.S Any guesses to the weight? Cant recall seeing the weight come up TBH?

What a loon ;D.....................................great to watch though!
Surprising that the fish never seemed to get him down to the backing line, but amazing that the hooks held in that maelstrom.
