Witnessed that a few times. While the weather is terrible down in the central Scotland area, the North West coast is having, or were having a very dry spring and summer thus far.
River Lochy in particular was done below summer level till yesterday and hopefully they will be getting some of this rain thats currently hitting us hard down here?

You could go on a bus tour of the H & I?
A wee bit of rain has been falling here today...........if it keeps on like this for a fortnight the rivers will get back up to summer low!

Aye, the Feugh is a wee bit high for the fly today. Give it another couple of days and it could be magical....

The east coast systems all seem to have taken on water today - which is nice. Tweed looks particularly dirty. Water of Leet coming out like coco on the Coldstream cam.

check out stinchar web cam at 7am this morning. www.farsondigitalwatercams.com/gallery/Stinchar/Colmonell having invited bulinacraig to join me on knockdolian today and being the eternal optimist, I am reasonably confident we will be fly fishing by late afternoon, providing no more rain. at the moment it's off the gauge probabley 11 or 12ft and if it comes down to 5ish the tail of bankweil will fish. hopefully the knockdolian diary might just get another entry soon now must go and find those big spring flees I had put away for the year

I think you will end up in the Boars head or the Queens right up in the neck. ;D ;D

yes got that one wrong big time, lifted most of the morning then it started dropping quickly and had lost 6ft by 3.30 but these big lumpy showers has the small burns coloured up again so have resolved myself to the fact it will indeed be the bar of the Boars instead of the tail of Bankweil this evening

I am sure you will find a few big orange Rapalas at the bottom of his bag..... That's a low blow Fredo, I seem to recall that it was you doing the cranking on the Tay that day! Pity about the rain, it was actually dry in Ayr most of the day but obviously not in the Stiunchar Valley. More rain tomorrow, that should be interesting. Looks like it will be fly tying tonight, not fly casting

Well spotted Herbie, the Fishpal and SEPA sites show quite an incredible spike in the A'an river level! T
