As part of the Deveron Fishing Festival- an angling fair will be held on the Sunday.
Turriff Angling Association will be hosting the event on the B9025 out off Turriff with Permission of Forglen Estate.
A marquee right by the river will see trade including Hardy /Greys, Rio, Vision, Waterworks Lamson, Snowbee, Redington, G Loomis, Boratbocka (Finland)Caledonia Fly Co and Mackenzie along with Trout and Salmon Magazine take part.
As well as all the great tackle to look at- demonstrations and lessons will be available for begginners and children as well as the more seasoned angler.
These will take place during the day and will be carried out by names such as Andy Murray, Eion Fairgrieve, Scott Mackenzie, Jim Fearn and Blair Banks.
Entry and car parking is FREE - so please come along and support this venture as within a 3 hour drive we have a lot of rivers and anglers covered. A big crowd is an ideal way to encourage even more of the trade to come in the future and have something the North of Scotland can be proud of.

I went to the open day on Sunday, quite a good turn out and it was good to bump into some familiar faces and some new ones. It was a good opportunity to try out some of the latest rods and lines, with a large range of Hardy’s/Grays, Vision, Guideline, Loomis and Mackenzie rods set up to try out. I was very impressed by some of the new rods. Scott Mackenzie giving advice on his rods

Have you ordered the Zenith yet Graham?
I've seen a couple on the Spey already, they seem to be impressing the ghillies.
It was a great day out although the sun did some damge to my complexion.

The 15ft 1in was certainly a very nice rod, as were the Loomis NRX rods and I was very impressed with the Mackenzie 13ft shooting head rod.
