Very importanty point about security.
Just use a secure connection then wireless users will have to use a password to connect to your system.

I have a Netgear router/modem and it is very hard to miss out the security password set up, you have two options of increasing encryption. It is, however, easy just not to be bothered and ignore it and skip to the next step. It looks like 50% of the population with stand alone wi fi routers can't be bothered. It happens to other people syndrome
