Just to inform those who might be interested, the SpeyGhillie App for iPhone - made in Scotland entirely - is now available in the Apple Appstore. I have 5 complimentary copies for forum members, if you have an iPhone 4 or 5. PM me with email address please - limited time offer. Malcolm

Dates for our complimentary copies of app have now expired, thanks for the interest and enjoy. There is not an android version (as yet) although that would be an obvious next step. The App works beautifully on the iPad, as a self-contained phone app - especially good with the retina display on iPad 3. Malcolm :-) www.speyghillie.com

Can you make (or is it available) your content accessible on "old fashioned" internet, Malcolm?

Malcolm, thanks for sending it through. Unfortunately there seemed to be a fault with the download and on retrying it said that the code had already been used so I've not got it! But thanks for sending it down none the less!

David David, The App is designed for the iPhone on the river bank, too much competition on the desktop/laptop front for us to develop for that, but this app looks great on the iPhone retina screen, and you can see it in HD by linking the iPhone to your HD TV. I was shocked myself at the quality on the big screen from a phone app. It works just great on an iPad as an alternative. Malcolm

Just to say that Trout and Salmon magazine have recommended the SpeyGhillie App in their "Greatest Christmas Presents 2013" supplement. "Salmon Fishers have waited a long time for a quality app for their iPhones, and here it is". Log onto Speyghillie.com to read more. Malcolm

If you have a smart TV (or internet access on yer telly) check out the videos on youtube. Jock Royan speycasting in slow motion on your telly in HD! "Ah, NOW I get it!!" The app on the iphone when on the river is good too, a relatively large app at 291 MB but worth the memory space all the same, especially useful is the journal function and, if you have trouble with the mechanics (as I do from time to time), the casting videos section is a godsend!! How on earth would you be able to download that calibre of tuition in the middle of nowhere?
