If anything the sound on these films is getting worse. I had to fiddle with the volume button several times. The fishery manager seemed more interested in talking about his books and paintings than the fishery !! The Angling Active bit in the middle we have seen before. Not very inspiring. This fishery is in a beautiful central location but seems to have changed hands several times in the last 20 years.

I had no sound problems Greig and really thought this was one of your best films. Lush,s paintings are excellent and worth the showing, bringing a wee bit class to the program. You are still cutting your teeth in the filming world and small glitches are to be expected. Alfred Hitchcock also had teething problems and look how good he became. Speaking of him your profiles are similar and you might use yours as a kind of signature??? Keep up the good work very enjoyable... Kerry Chalmers (Film Critic)

Devronmac, Thanks for your reply, I hear where your coming from re the Angling Active bit, what people must remember is that we choose not to go down the subscriber route and opt for sponsorship instead to make these show commercially viable. Just like you see on television, promotions/ads will be repeated several times to maximise exposure, our principles are no different. You can always skip forward too if you don't want to see that particular section. Also one thing to bare in mind is that this show is more targeted to a trout audience, whereas the Teith show where this promotion was first shown was targeted at a Salmon audience, so there will undoubtedly be crossover and never can you please all of the people all of the time. This also goes for the venues that we visit, for the purposes of variety and looking at someone other than me on screen, we try and help and let people tell there stories, even if it only for a few minutes. I don't mind going over 30 mins if need be. Re the sound, Charlie was very quietly spoken, but other than that it seems ok. We did have to adjust a crucial few shots due to lorries and motorbikes on the road making a racket. On that note, we need someone to hold the sound boom when we are up filming the Deveron (long overdue) later this season, any takers? Joking aside, pop down and say hello when we are up, it is important to get as much people involved in the shows in order ton help promote river/fisheries etc at a grass roots level. Best regards, Greig
