Well hip hooray after four months casting an in vain fly at last on Wednesday 13th August efforts were at last rewarded. The falling river set things fair for bottom of the river Tweed beat at Tweedhill, where previous efforts had went unrewarded, as faith was being lost in casting and fishing ability and evil thoughts were considering golf clubs. Cutting a long story short Wednesday gave me 2 fresh seatrout and one ditto grilse. Also two salmon which had been in the river more than a week or so, Thursday saw a similar fish of around nine pounds. So after weeks of drought and warm low water we had a pretty decent rise in river levels over the previous weekend, its mid August I would have thought all those old fish would be heading upriver?

Well done, seems to be good numbers of Sea Trout this year, not that I have troubled any yet.
