Decided that I needed a new pair of wading boots as the current ones are showing signs of falling apart, so, after looking on Sportfish' website decided that the Simms Rivershed was a good deal at £60 off. Went through the order process then got to the delivery charge which turned out to be 23 quid odd...... What? After phoning Sportfish to confirm this the order was cancelled. I decided, prior to finding out about price match to contact Glasgow Angling Centre to see if they would match the price. The reply was, no problem, and free postage!!!! Got to say that is a great service and if you don't ask, you don't get!!!! Cheers guys.

Got a similar deal with GAC last month Ross. Decided to get a new, and hopefully water tight, wading jacket. Got the jacket I wanted on special offer plus free postage, brilliant!

I bought a pair of Simms Rivershed boots last year from Gamefish at the price being quoted currently by other retailers and with no postage costs. They are good boots and a good choice.I use the Star Cleat studs with them and they grip really well.

I bought a pair of Simms Freestone wading boots off ebay £40 as they were lightly worn. One of the best fitting boots and support that I have bought to-date.
Hardys boots that I still have are lighter, but don't last much longer than a season before they start showing signs of advanced wear and tear. Pity as they fit well.

I have just had a very enjoyable trip to GAC. On one of my regular jaunts to Glasgow I wasn't able to add on some extra time for fishing, but I did spend a very pleasant 2 hours with the helpful staff. I had a small river trout outfit in mind, and was able to test all the rods in the casting pool beside the building. Dougie, looked after me a treat and was clearly very knowledgeable regarding all the products. They even ordered me a taxi back to the City Centre!
