A very welcome amount of rain has fallen this last few days and should bring in more fish hopefully.
Need to see where I can go to get into my first fish of 2015. Out of three trips the first two have been very high water and my recent trip to the Don was a tad too low.
Might get it perfect one day!

I'm pulling out all the stops to get out to Careston tomorrow. Still a lot of rain around here this morning but the cloud is starting to thin out a little. Friday could be good (Bill !).

I'm going to miss all this water we've been getting. I missed it all last week too! It just typical, I have fished in some poor conditions this season and when it's finally decent I can't make it. Sod's law!

Never mind Craig. You will get another chance and you have a lot more years fishing in you yet. Work and family comittments used to get in the way of fishing for me too for many many years. Just grin and bear it !

Burnie the reason its tipping it down is I have a bloody day booked on the Tay this Thursday.
Last three trips on the Tay have been at 51/2ft 5ft and about 7ft. Was kinda hoping to get it low enough to see the pool shape this Thursday!!

I thought the high water curse had been reversed Kenny?
Tight lines on the Tay. Hope the water is in good shape for you.

Severe weather warning on Tayside...yahoo! Strong easterlie winds with it, good for Cod fishing, not too sure about the rivers early in the week, hope you have a good trip.

The Esk rivers are rising, hopefully sort the rivers out for a good run for the end of the season.

Rivers appear rather 'full' just now. The North Esk camera is apparently underwater at present. Hopefully get a couple of frosts to pull it back - hopefully.

Looks like a lot of fishing huts, if not bridges, are under threat on Deeside.

There will be a lot of damage caused by the flooding on Deeside today. The bridge at Cambus O May is mangled!
I should've been sitting by the fire in a cottage at Glen Muick tonight but with many roads closed up and down Deeside we just couldn't get anywhere near it. At least the power is back on though so will hopefully get there tomorrow.

Indeed. I just saw the Cambus 'O May footage on the news - horrific !! A cottage in Glen Muick sounds like the place to be.

The gauge at Park has been there since 1972, it looks like the river height has peaked there now and it is 2 1/2ft higher than the previous record in that time period. There will be a lot of changes to the pools next season up and down the river.
