Hi to you all. I live near Pershore in Worcestershire and primarily fish the Usk and Wye both via Gwent Angling club and also the WUF beats. I have salmon fished for about 25 years in many parts of the UK but look forward to learning more from the members here. I am off to the Orkla in Norway in a couple of weeks and getting very excited about the trip. Tight lines to all Glyn PS I suspect I know conwyrod as being one John Glaister? If I am right he may remember me from St Asaph club. I still fish with Dave Roberts who now lives in Swansea. All the best John

Hi flatsghost and welcome to the forum. I look forward to hearing about the trip to Norway. I am sure that must be unbearably exciting! I went to Norway last year, sadly not to fish, but a great country to visit. Rob

Thanks for the welcomes chaps. Rob I too went there last year on a cruise and it is a beautiful if not expensive country. There seems to be fishing in the Finnmark area in the north which we do not get to hear about. Not far from the Atlantic salmon reserve as the crow flies. Fingers crossed for a fish or two on the Orkla. Have been tying one or two patterns in readiness. Do we ever have enough flies ? Will report back. In the meantime praying for some proper rain. Glyn
