This must be the first year in a long time that I didna get any fishing pressies on Christmas day - was all hiking gear this year. What pressies did everyone else get for the coming season, if any?
Ross.

Like you Ross, no fishing presents whatsoever - nothing needed if the truth be told.
However, Santa did bring me the following - Kerplunk, Bubbles, a tin of glaziers putty, a 'Secret Spy' disguise kit, the DVD box set of 'Nothing To Declare (Australia), a Peoples Friend Calendar (a staple in our household) and a rare s/s tattie gun made by Holland & Holland. All in all, not a bad haul.

I was given socks and a voucher for the local tackle shop. I did treat myself to a good wildfowling parka.....but only because the stitching was rotting on the one I was using.

The only fishing tackle I got was one of those trout nets with a wooden bow frame that you can sling on your back( will need to buy a zinger for it) This will prove useful when fishing for the brownies in the river and will save me carrying an oversize net.

With a bit of modification it could probably 'double' as a snow shoe for a single legged person Mel.
