Fishing with the trout rod in the low water I always use singles and for sea trout. Doubles or bottle tubes when there is water. Used to swear by E. D. trebles but have now stopped using them. Used to always use E.D. trebles for sea trout but after losing a lot of fish on them gave up. Not sure how over many years I have arrived at this. My 2 best fish two seasons ago [18 and 16 lbs] were landed on 12 singles and 8 lbs nylon while trout fishing. The longer I fish the less I know it seams. Bob

Ah, good old ED trebles. Up there, surely, with Partridge 'out-points'.

Used to recon that a fish hooked on an E.D. treble was as good as on the bank. Kept loosing fish with the Mustard trebles on the tubes. Changed to the Partridge out points and had far better results. Bob
