What with things being a bit 'sloe' just now, I thought I would post a pic of my new shed. 16'x8'. Two layers (yes two !!) of 16ml weatherboard with a layer of membrane in between. Rones on both sides. Box profile metal roof atop heavy duty felt. Finished off with Sadolin 'Ebony' preserver (several coats). Isn't she beautiful ? Sloe gin. Berries picked and bottled last October. Maceration period 9 months. Sloe's from somewhere around the Dunkeld area. A lovely wee book - easy reading.

What next 50 Sheds of grey. twitter.com/50shedsofgrey?lang=en-gbMy body writhed and quivered from the pain. I had learned my first lesson. Never again would I leave an upturned plug on the floor

LOL. Some great stuff there Malcolm.
My head was spinning, my pulse racing, my eyes watering and my throat dry. Never again would I try to dilute Nitromors with cellulose thinner in such a confined space.
I'll get my coat as they say.

Bit overcrowded you ought to have built a larger one. Or perhaps you are planning a twin shed.

Bit overcrowded you ought to have built a larger one. Or perhaps you are planning a twin shed. It's a replacement for a previous 16 x 8. As the site had already been levelled with blocks from the previous shed it seemed sensible to replace it with the same size. It's deceptive. There's actually enough room to perform a shortened version of 'strip the willow'. However, your quite right - 20 x 10 would have allowed for more sh*te to be stored. No, I'm a one-man / one-shed kind of guy. Feel free to visit anytime.

I can imagine you spending many happy hours in your shed Andy. Get a tape or download the sound of running water, and you could almost believe you were sitting in a Hut on the South Esk, waiting for dusk to fall and the sea trout to start leaping.
Happy days

Happy days Hi John. Yes, indeed. Worthy of consideration. I did consider excavating some form of 'pond' at the bottom of the garden - lessen the travelling distances between home and fishable water. I'm already spending a considerable amount of time in it as you rightly imagine. The sound of torrential rain hitting the metal roof is a sound to behold. Caravan enthusiasts will know what I mean.

I expect I am one of the few forum members to have had a personal guided tour of Andy's shed......beautiful piece of work. I will just have to make do with my greenhouse. Fortunately the house is big enough to escape to my flytying/hobby room.....and it is warmer in the winter and I get the rain noise on the velux windows.

That's a lovely looking shed Andy, but I think you need a more comfortable seat. Can't see you falling asleep with a tumbler in your hand on that one. We are currently have a temporary arrangement while new house (and large shed) are being built. There is a shed in the garden here. Which has a wee secret inside. Don't worry, that's a micro brewery.

Thank goodness you said that John - at a first glance I thought it might have been a medium scale 'meth' operation. Hope the house progresses well.

Looks like a step up from the home brew kit I once had from Boots!

Not mine I should add. I highly recommend the Red From The Shed. Currently on tap in The Drovers and this morning in Forfar's farmers market.
