I heard on the Radio that this April was the driest on record.
Certainly the rivers would agree with that, as they are all in dire need of a good flush out. We did have a decent 2ft lift on the Don that some of this forum members fished last Saturday, but didn't seem to bring that much up.
Then again I also heard on the riverside that the first flush doesn't always bring the fish up or on. Anyone else heard this?

All the rivers in the North West of England are desperately short of water.

A better week for the Dee even though the water has fallen away and still hellish windy.
A guess a wind ripple on the water could be helping in low clear water as long as your nae casting in to it of course.
