It looks like a fairly consistent beat, throughout the season. Good value when compared with some Dee prices at the same time.

I would agree it looks great value. Not fished it my self and would certainly take a day at that prices but fishing a full 3 days not really for me with arthritis in my shoulder that said new exercises have helped. Am sure other local rods would also take a days fishing but would be put off by the 3 days minimum. I will check nearer the time if there is still availability. Seem to remember a couple years ago the cheapest day on LC 7 WD was double that so fair play to them for dropping the price a tad.

Maybe ring the estate and explain your circumstances. Perhaps they would ease the booking conditions?

I would imagine the 3 day rule is to stop a lot of work in organizing individual lets. Why not find 2 like minded friends and each take one day - Voila.

Am going to have a think about this as you gents say a couple options would be phone and see about the possibility of a single days fishing or book all 3 and try and flog a couple to my work mates. I can understand why they do it but its a pain for local rods. I have been pondering fishing Abergeldie last couple years but Balmoral do the same deal 3 days min. Now if you live in or near Aberdeen it seems crazy to take accommodation in Ballater when its only a hour up the road yet try fishing 10/12 hours and driving for 3 days.
Something else to consider would be if LC and WD let you fish on in the evening am guessing they would seems most Dee beats do now a days and the Sea Trout fishing seems to be on the up.
Regards Bennachie

Very good point- fishing late, or early a must really. Another good reason to give them a ring. Rob

Thanks for the heads up on that Bennachie, never fished there before but going to give it a try. Booked the 3 days from 9th July. Any good B&B's fairly close to the beat.
Many thanks again Bobby

Many thanks again Bobby Good on you for acting quickly. I think that is a great deal you have water and weather permitting of course. I have heard that Banchory legion has rooms and is ok may be worth a try, Banchory baker also very good in the mornings for coffee bacon rolls and stuff. Regards Bennachie

Ta again Sir, I will check that out. Unfortunately I will have to give the bakers a miss as I am gluten intolerant, damn it! Regards Bobby
