Drove along the Dee today, never seen it so low, proper bare bones at the moment by the look of it.

A few fish have arrived since you left Rob. 5 on Saturday. Biggest 20lbs. It was the wind that killed it for you. Great to see you and Charlie nevertheless. Cheers.

Booked a day on the Tay next week, not fished it for ages and this will be a new beat for me, Upper Kinnaird, though I think the ghillie is starting me on the lower Tummel to begin with.

Tight lines, Burnie.
I will hopefully be fishing Bigsweir on the Wye on Sunday after a small rise. There are rumours of fish hanging around in the estuary. Someone will be lucky when they decide to run.

Well. Our September day was a failure. The river was at the lowest I have seen it in 45 years and only three millimeters above the lowest ever recorded. Was supposed to be fishing on Sunday but the river is now two meters above a fishable height so that is it for 2021. Roll on R & A in March/April!

I never fished the Wye, I fished the smaller one in Derbyshire for Trout and Grayling, fished the Severn a few times too, but that was in the 1970's.

Well I've given up on this year, looks like the rain arrived a week too late for me, but I do intend to have a go at the beginning of next year, never fished before March before, I'll see what the weather is doing before booking anything though.
