Here is a useful guide I purchased in Gamefish in Edinburgh. It does go into some good detail and I would think if you were brave you could book a fishing holiday of your own using this guide ATB Robbie

Thanks Robbie, I think I'll check that book out.
By the way, that photo on the front cover looks just like the Aberglaslyn Pass in North Wales. A good wormimg water I believe!

That's a crackin book. Norway has 600 salmon rivers and this is a fairly good place to start looking for info when it is otherwise hard to find. It also gives som web site leads.
There is another book and I will post the name when I find it.

Castelforte,thats not strictly true,june this year they classified 450 as salmon rivers thats 227 less than was classed in 1999,but thats neither here nor there.The picture on the cover,bottom left is at Sele laksefiske,river Figgio,but thats another story

Is this due to Gyrodactylus Salaris which is said to infect about 20% of the rivers here now? CF
