Thanks for posting the excellent link graham. It is humbling to watch a master at work What an absolutely superb cast. The view from the rear was quite revealing in the way the D-Loop seems to lie kind of flat or tilting. Is that a feature of a competition cast or is that fairly standard? A couple of questions: What rod and line were used? Do they have a standard angle for change of direction? How long a leader is required and do they use hook or yarn in these competitions? salmo

Carron 15ft Rod Carron 95ft line 2. 45 degree angle change with tennis net and vegetation behind 3 15 ft maximum ,Not yarn more like a mouse which they provided,we could have cast another 5 yds with yarn. Having downloaded and watched the video footage about 20 times I am of the considered opinion that perhaps I should start spinning for my fish. This stuff is absolutely awe inspiring. Maybe one day I might achieve something like this. If you all care to come back to me in about 400 years then I might just have nearly got it right Nearly.
