Large hardback book of 480 pages published October 2007. The book describes itself as a record of the largest Atlantic Salmon ever caught. It includes a record of every Salmon over 50lbs ever caught on a fly and other chapters on fish over 50lbs caught on all methods (over 152 examples!!!). The book is stuffed with awesome pictures in both b&w and colour. More than just a list, wherever possible a picture, story and background is given. Almost a coffee table book if it wasn't so big!!. I will certainly be dipping in and out of this book for years to come. A soon to be classic IMHO Robbie

I'm picking up an autographed/inscribed by the author copy from Farlows tomorrow night - official launch of the publication - part of my birthday.....wonder what that could be worth in a few years?

I had a look at Silversalar's yesterday the Picture of the pool where Mrs Morrison in 1924 got her fish is interesting, it appears to be on another river entirely!!

Yes silversalar was correct, the picture in the book is not the Wood o' Shaws pool on the Deveron. It is the Bridge Pool on Delfur on the Spey. Just got my copy of the book today, apart from that mix up, it looks superb.

Classic reference material, with some many wonderful stories - and some of those rivers, not to mention the humungus sized fish! They're still out there, as the Ness last October showed us all! Mike
