Author: Peter Mackenzie-Phillips. Hardback book published in1989 and is 192 pages long. 45 colour plates giving over 170 examples. The first half of this book is editorial and discusses subjects such as "why did the fish take my fly ?" and "what does salmon food look like?". The second half of the book contains individual fly histories and recipes alongside colour plates with photos of flies, alongside.

Interesting and intelligent book, author used his brain. I'd definitely recommend anyone to buy this. I've never had so much trouble getting this book back from people who've borrowed it, had to buy two extra copies to replace copies that were "never borrowed" by people.
