Very neat tying - looks like a blue-throated 'butcher' That should be fine for the grilse & seatrout at this time Hope you get a few! Mike

I took the fly out last night for its inaugural bathing. The curious creation was attached to the end of a 15ft salmon rod. On my first cast a fish hit it - RESULT!!!! well no actually the fish was a small brown trout However about 25 minutes later I had a grilse with it of about 4lbs Now that was a result ;D. The next thing that I hit with the fly was a rock groyne which ran out from the opposite bank. The fly is no more but its descendants are already in the making.

Well done, and that's a good looking fly, classic sea trout colours.

I'm sure that success will not only spawn a wee tying spell, but re-creating it, and a few similar flies to go with it!
Well done!!

I like the angle of the wing, I suspect this can be a trigger point ?
No doubt, that fly deserved a fish, good one.
