Phew - just got through that photobucket tutorial - would be easier to update my web page ! Anyway as a trial some snaps from this years visits to the Thurso. The Hoy Pool on Beat 2 was full of running fish - just for a couple of hours. Square Pool on Beat 10 in the gorge Well fished flies Over 20 fish in 4 days to Mr Griffiths - originator of the Macartair fly. MM and BM at the Bridge by Ulbster Arms in Halkirk Excellent food Top Beat 13 - Lower Bridge Pool - fish took just behind my thumb. Our most successful fly - fished near the surface. Iain Bain Tying A 5.30 alarm - world class scenery at run in to Loch Beg Beat 9 old and new road in This is a windy place ! Iain Bain - a pleasure to fish with and a real expert.

Thank's for sharing tweedcast,,,,,,the thurso has always been on my list,,,,i was planning a trip this year ,,but with good water localy on the whiteadder there was no need as the fishing has been good,,,,the thurso looks wild,,,that's the attraction for me, any spaces next year??

Great ideas with the photos. Tells a whole story. While it is nice to see pictures of fish, I feel that hotels,the craic, scenery and characters are all part of the trip. Any more like that?

Malcolm, Absolutely Brilliant ! I have not had time to read all of it but certainly will. Don't know if I would be brave enough to share as much info as yourself. Not having half the experience that most of you guys have, I could probably manage to fill about a page! Many many thanks

John, When you use photobucket to post (great tool) please consider resizing the photo. Here is how: Click <Edit> Click <Resize> Dropdown Menu Select <15" Screen 800 X 600> This way the format will fit and not affect the page width of the thread posts. Nice photos by the way salmo

Very nice Malcolm, you seemed to have captured the essence of the week very well. Least there were nae kelts this time around Makes a change to see a picture of Mr Bain without a fish ;D
