I had my Rhiddoroch and Rhiconich mixed up so i was going too far north!
So now by a process of elimination frustration I have arrived at the Kerry. The upper reaches split, one branch going down into L Maree over Victoria Falls.
No? I give up.

Or the Dundonell because it empties into Little Loch Broom which in turn goes into Loch Broom... sort of Andy

Fellow Lost Anglers:
Based on the clues, am I right in thinking NW coast, Ullapool area?

I've had the road atlas out and drawn 10 mile radius circles around all the locations given by Tweedcast and come to the conclusion that...... ....I need to get out more Kishorn? Andy

Nice one Andy, perseverance is a good trait for a salmon angler. ;D

A recent scientific study concluded that:
"Despite the extensive nature of the survey, no salmon fry or parr were found at any of the 39 sites visited. It must now be considered that the former small population of salmon in this river is now effectively extinct."
We can assume, with some confidence I think, that this sad state of affairs can be laid fairly and squarely at the door of the salmon farmers.
The stocks of salmon and sea trout in the small rivers to the north, south, east and west of this river have been similarly affected.

The Shieldaig it is.
Let's hope that the current stocking of sea trout can prevent the extinction of that species also at the hands of the salmon farmers.
