Too easy, I've actually had a fish from the Beauly on that ones twin. So that's how we now define a salmon fly ...... what is the world coming to..... looks vaguely satanic to me ..... a sacrifice to the salmon gods was it! Were you on a fly only beat, Malcolm?

Because of the bead head, nobbler. Because of the hook link that droops, drooping.
Putting these words together I reckon the fly should be called the "Drooping nobbler".

Its a well know Irish flee called the Mad Dog Adair. I think Annan Angler did the original tying although I may be wrong. Does it come in ANY shade of green Mike ?

Think you've been at Mrs Tip's sherry again..... or is it them 60's shades again....you know, the ones which go perfectly on any psychedelic trip....man! Unless persons unknown have been altering your personal viewing pleasure, THAT shade of green is just a bit tinged with.......orange! Mike PS. Only joking.....didn't post the green ones yet....they're not ripe M

Good job you remembered to put the 'bler' at the end of your guess at the name! ;D ;D May have got the proboards heckles up a bit! Mike
