This coming season, CANT WAIT. i will be trying out some intruder patterns, I like the idea, of the large profile you can get. with out having a to heavy fly. I get a lot of funny looks, at the size of flies i use now. cant wait to see there faces this season, with one of these on my cast. ;D Yellow and black. Orange, Pink, Black and red, Black, All the colors together, All tied on Canadian Tube Company, barbell tubes. Hope you like them, but more so. hope the fish do, ;D Dai.

I like them alot. I'm always confident fishing tubes for ST, even in the lowest mid summer conditions. Any chance of a SBS to show us all how to tie them?

Very nice, they would be great for salmon as well. The Yellow and Black would make a cracking fly for the spring.

Super looking flies Dai, but will they cast ok on a single handed wf7/8 rod - they look to be quite heavy and bulky?

Hi, They will cast fine, they are not that heavy. i was looking for a big profile fly, without weight. and this does it, I will be using a Sage X-AXIS 8114 and Sage TCX 8119-4, both switch rods. Dai.

Hi Dai. Been meaning to find the time to echo the above and say what a braw looking set of flees these are. I'm certainly going to give the classic Silver Stoats, Peter Ross and TBS variants less of a dominance in my box this year and ring the changes with a slightly longer and more bedraggled look - not that I'm saying your flies look bedraggled but you know what I mean. Good work.

Good work. Cheers ST, Glad you like them, one thing i do. is think out side of the box, when it comes to fly tying. I have had a lot of guys, look at me stupid. at the size of flies i use, But i will say it does work for me. i take a lot of fish on flies, that are not the normal sewin flies. it does pay to have a play with your tying and patterns. Good tying. Dai.

Dai, I'm thinking of putting in a last minute bid for the Golden Grove sea trout fishing on the Towy, listed on the AST auction. How good is that fishing? Have you fished it yourself? The estate claims they have lots of double figure sea trout: is there a good chance of catching one of these fish? Adipose

Adipose Hi Ap, The Towy is a great river to fishing, i fish below and and above the estate. and catch a lot of good fish, in the 70s i fished the estate a lot, and had many good fish in those days. The estate, has a few good guides. to show you the way, and if you fish it at the peak times. you will do well, Hope this helps you, if you need more info just ask. Dai.
