, im not looking forward to fishing a very low lochy again this year!! Fingers crossed for you , and the lads , Youngster. No sign of rain for the next week at least though. Difficult weather just now , even for trouting. Warm (ish ) during the day and very bright. But the minute that the sun goes down in the evening , the temperature plummets and puts paid to any evening rise.

It's still April! Feels like July. Surely the rain will come soon? Look at S Esk webcam. Is that a river or a wee burn in the glen? Adipose

Adipose I looked at that one last night too, it is pretty low isn't it Fingers crossed things change next week, but as has been said, there is no immediate sign of any rain yet

The North Esk and Dee webcam's also make pretty grim viewing.

The Tay's in fine nick and fish coming in off tides. Lovely fly water right through the river and fantastic time of year to be out. Time your efforts around the tides and you never know. Some big ones about too! A 38lber today from Glendelvine today

There is currently more water in Oman's Wadi Kabir than there is in the South Esk!

I have just got back from walking up and down the Lune at Rigmaden and Caton like a demented wind up toy soldier. The river is full of rocksnot but the trout who were gorging on hawthorn flies didn't seem to mind too much. The problem I now have is that I took my wife with me and she loves Rigmaden. Bloody hell......I hope she doesn't wanna take up fishing

Would a wee lash of rain for a couple of days in the middle of the week after next for the North & West not be russled up by one of our many raindancers??
Please try harder for the above, and all fingers/digits crossed for the same.

Would a wee lash of rain for a couple of days in the middle of the week after next for the North & West not be russled up by one of our many raindancers?? Please try harder for the above, and all fingers/digits crossed for the same. Mike Mike according to this from the Lochy web site, we should delay the visit to the Lochy: Prospects for May
The Lochy season gets underway in earnest in May. At present we are basking in sunshine with little prospect of change during the next few days. A few fish have been spotted running through the lower beats but with blue skies and low clear water(3-4inch), conditions for catching them couldn’t be more difficult. Paying close attention to tide times and fishing early and late may prove to be key for success this coming week. We have big tides with the new Moon. I heard the weather is to become more unsettled later in the month….. let’s hope so. Stay tuned for weekly updates.
