Most weather sites are saying that the warm spell, will break from tomorrow with cloud and rain moving in for most of next week. This is for the Angus area. I hope they are right.

From a farming and fishing point of view, I am desperate for rain. Sadly, looking at the pressure charts tells me the high pressure over Scandinavia is not moving much. It will rain, but nowhere near enough will fall.

Rain? What is that again? It's the greyish streaky things that have now appeared where the orange balls used to be on the weather app, Dave. I'm sure Andrew will be true to form and bring it with him.

Had a wee glass of Vimto tonight with the boys at Kinnaird (Tay) and they reckon the river rose a couple of inches today due to a wee rise on the Lyon.
Here's hoping the rain forecast for next week amounts to something.

Raining in Kirrie now for the last hour or so. Hopefully there will be enough up the glens to bring the Esk and Prosen up a bit and give the fish a freshen up.

A bit of rain down here too Troot. Having said that, it will need to be rain and half as the ground is bone dry and the crops are just sooking it up just now. Every little helps I s'pose.

Thats the ayrshire soil dampened down now, the next band of rain should do something for the rivers

I've just arrived back from the Tweed, which is desperately low but suprisingly still producing a few fish. Driving back we encoutered a few rain showers but nothing really significant. I'll post a short report tomorrow, which will include photos of a fish!

Bit of rain here this am - Northern England, but more & much heavier heading our (whole UK) way over next 24-48 hours. Much needed & will hopefully give our rivers & streams a wee boost of water & freshen up any of the early running fish currently languishing in low & warm water conditions with low oxygen.

We only had a light spattering, for a couple of hours, in Lancashire. Hope the weekend forecast for heavy rain is correct. Lunesman

No rain keeps the fish at the bottom end of the river with me where they belong. Why on earth do you want it to rain? You'll only end up spoiling your hair
