The Southie looks fair fit for a fush tomorrow. I fancy Middle Kinnaird: I guess there'll be a run of both salmon and sea troot. Adipose

Up till yesterday it would seem the South East of Scotland missed out on all of ast weeks rain. Tweed hardly up compared to the Lochy, Clyde, Spey et al.
Hope it stays that way for the weekend, but won't hold my breath with whats falling from the sky today.

I am supposed to be on the Conon on Thursday. I was getting excited as no more heavy rain is forcast. Now I see there is a Force 9 Northerly forecast for the Minch on Thursday morning! Ah, the joys of living on an island.

Lots of trees down in the Angus area although I see someone managed to catch on the Finavon beat.

Looks like we are in for another warm, dry spell. Lunesman I hope not. I would like it to rain on the Tay the end of this weekcoming, so prospects for the following should be good with plenty fresh fish entering the river in time for my visit.

You don't need any rain for the Tay as the fish are running so fast through the main stem at the moment most are getting caught in the tributaries At this time of year you want the river to be at summer level

I was told by one of the ghillies on the Tay today, that today has been double over coat weather. Hopefully it will be slightly warmer next week.

Cold and wet here, some very heavy showers, that should put a couple of inches on the river and pull some fish upstream.

Webcam at Finavon Castle Water shows a nice lift in the river without too much colour. We certainly don't want a big spate right now, and this little freshet may be useful to bring sea trout into the system, especially if the net leaders are removed at 1800 tomorrow.

I was fishing the upper Clyde at Lamington yesterday. Cold , blustery winds , thunder , lightning , hail , heavy rain , and blistering sunshine in equal amounts. 9deg on the car thermometer on the way home in the late afternoon.

9 degrees yesterday with a howling gale and rain. Today it is 19 degrees, sunny with a light breeze. And, sadly, the first bad attack of midgees.
