It's not called name the county (or country!) It's not the Lyn but it does have salmon in it. Andy

It is good to see some of the minor river of Cornwall getting a mention. The Tiddy, now there is a pretty little stream with some surprisingly big sea trout in years gone by. But it's not the Tiddy or any of the others above.

Would it be the River Menalhyl or the flashy Mylor Creek It ought to be the River Ottery and you said salmon so is it the River Par A bridge too far is the Pont Pill ? or Port Navas Cree? Red River or Restronguet Creek or St Austell River Too tame for the River Truro ? so it must be the River Valency Or it ain't in Cornwall. Malcolm

No. There are still two proper Cornish Salmon rivers and one Cornish tributary that have not got a mention, not that anyone has actually said this one is in Cornwall The Valency has had the odd salmon up it in recent years which is fairly amazing after the great Boscastle flood which you would think washed every minnow away. Keep going! Andy

Could be the South Hams Avon come to think of it.

Well spotted Rob. The Devonshire Avon looking upstream from Kerrydowns Bridge. A good little sea trout river with a late run of salmon (closes November 30th).
