I started a quest on the old forum to find a good scottish ale for my autumn trip to Tweed. I reckon you canny Scots have been keeping quiet about this one, too good to export? www.caledonian-brewery.co.uk/ipa_home.htmlOn offer in my local supermarket, and absolutely lovely. Just popping out to get some more!

I too stocked up with these this w/e for anaesthetising myself for the drubbing England were going to get from the aussies, as it turned out they were use for celebrating ;D ;D ;D ;D It was recommended to me by friend who's local has it on tap. In Yorkshire!! And I have seen it down here in the cotswolds

Thanks Malcolm - I wouldn't be in a fit state to fish if I was on the [glow=red,2,300]8%[/glow] Jacobite ale!

The two are not mutually exclusive of course, and think of the claims for a record you could make on the back of temporary insanity. 560" long by 50" girth makes that a 15 hunderedweight according to Ally Gowans formula - a new record for a sandeeeel.
Seriously and off thread who else is frustrated by the lack of photos of this great fish on the Ness. Are the CIA involved - has everyone been shot or is this the profit motive inbred by Maggie Thatcher kicking in. And is Springer in the CIA - that would explain a lot. Glad my name is not Bourne.
The Lounge is not a serious place.

Rumour has it that springer has bought the copyright to all photos (because he didn't catch it), banned Mr Milne from his forums (because he caught a bigger fish than springer) and signed the fish to appear in his next "Zspey success" photograph.
