I recently sold a salmon rod on another forum and insisted that I be paid by bank transfer. To be perfectly honest I would not accept payment by any other means and when I asked for payment by this method it was offered to me by the buyer without question. I received payment the following day and a chap in Wales who bought my Z Axis salmon rod took delivery of the rod the day after. Private individuals selling second hand goods rarely have the facility to accept payment by credit card and Paypal want ' in to' the deal for a percentage. I did not know the buyer and he did not know me. However by extending the arm of trust he got himself a real bargain as I have never scammed anybody in my life.
The central plank of my point is that for every bad experience in life there are ten good ones, at least I hope there are. If not we are all doomed and cynicism wins.
PS There is a dodgy character on here called Lunesman whom you should not trust. His eyes are too close together and his nose is too pointy and he works on the funfair in Blackpool. He stands underneath the 'Pepsi Max Big One' and catches the change that falls out of childrens pockets. He then spends the money on cheap gin milk stout and expensive bingo
